System Engineer

Description: 

Your work life:

  • Administration and monitoring of internal IT systems, including servers, storage, private cloud, and databases.
  • Support the maintenance and updates of key operation support systems (OSS) such as network monitoring, inventory and automation system.
  • Help automate simple, routine tasks across internal platforms using scripting and automation tools such as RPA, Ansible, etc.
  • Assist with coding or scripting for data extraction and basic system integration.
  • Monitor system health alerts and help ensure smooth operation of internal systems.
  • Support virtual machine provisioning, backups, and simple server tasks for internal users.
  • Handle basic user requests for data extraction and automation support.
  • Provide 7x24 on-call standby and L1 & L2 support for internal users on internal systems.

 

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a Computer/Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • 0 to 5 year working experience with exposure to telecommunication domain.
  • Competency in Linux administration, shell scripting, PHP, Python and SQL.
  • Strong troubleshooting skill is a must.
  • Experience in server/storage hardware configuration or maintenance is a plus.
  • OSS system knowledge and network management is a plus.
  • Exposure to Openstack/AWS/GCP/Azure is a plus
  • Able to work after office hour and standby during weekend
  • Open minded and willing to learn new knowledge, skills and technology.
  • Independent and able to work on wide range of assignment under minimal supervision.
  • Able to communicate well with stakeholders.
