Role Summary

The Solar Delivery Lead is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the end-to-end delivery of residential solar PV installations. Acting as the primary operational liaison between installers and internal stakeholders, the role ensures installations are executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with company standards while providing timely resolution of operational issues.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery Coordination
    • Coordinate the end-to-end execution of residential solar installation projects from pre-installation planning through post-installation support.
    • Monitor and drive installation progress to ensure project milestones are achieved within the planned timeline.
    • Ensure all required activities are completed before, during, and after installation.
  2. Installation Journey Management
    • Own and monitor the installation journey across key milestones:
      • D-7: Installation readiness review
      • D-1: Final installation confirmation
      • D0: Installation execution
      • D+1: Documentation and job closure, monitoring
      • D+7: Punch list / outstanding issue follow-up
      • D+30: Post-installation review and health check status
      • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve any gaps affecting milestone completion.
  3. Installer Management
    • Serve as the single point of contact for all appointed installers during project execution.
    • Coordinate daily communications with installers on scheduling, technical clarifications, documentation, and operational matters.
    • Monitor installer performance, productivity, and compliance with company requirements.
    • Support installer onboarding, engagement, and continuous operational improvement.
  4. Scheduling & Resource Planning
    • Coordinate daily and weekly installation schedules.
    • Monitor installer capacity and optimise resource allocation to maximise installation throughput.
    • Coordinate schedule changes arising from weather, customer requests, material availability, or operational constraints.
  5. Site Escalation Management
    • Act as the first level of operational escalation for site-related issues.
    • Coordinate timely resolution with Engineering, Fulfilment, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, and installers.
    • Escalate critical issues promptly to the Head of Technical Operations with recommended actions.
  6. Inventory & Material Coordination
    • Coordinate inventory availability to support scheduled installations.
    • Monitor material readiness and ensure timely delivery of required materials and consumables.
    • Work closely with Supply Chain to minimise installation delays due to material shortages.
  7. Operational Monitoring & Reporting
    • Track installation progress, job completion, and outstanding actions.
    • Maintain operational dashboards and KPI reports.
    • Monitor installation cycle times, installer utilisation, backlog, and completion performance.
    • Ensure accurate and timely submission of operational documentation.

 

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations coordination, project coordination, field service operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in the solar, electrical, construction, utilities, or telecommunications industry is an added advantage.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
