SOC Engineer

This position reports to, Head of SOC

 

Job Overview:

SOC is the heart and Centre of Network division, ensuring that our network platform optimally and providing expert technical support to customer. SOC engineer required to ensuring all the network elements being monitored 24x7 towards Excellence Customer Experience (ECE).

 

Work Life:

  • Keep our services and network up and running 24x7 and assist with quick escalation and restoration in the even that outages occur.
  • Provide level 2 troubleshooting and manage high priority and/or managed services (MS) customer.
  • Escalate technical issues quickly and ensure they got resolved fast.
  • Provide network related support to other departments and region offices.
  • Proactively and continuously monitor network and service performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills /ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Excellence understanding in business vs technical view.
  • Strong consultancy, partnership and relationship building skills.
  • Strong collaborative approach, wants to work with and through others.
  • Creative thinking for improvement.

 

Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Degree in Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering or its equivalent
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Experience and knowledge of Telecommunication system. 
  • Have good interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork and negotiating skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • For this role it is important for you to constantly have a customer mindset i.e. able to think and react in ways that will be beneficial or cause least disruption to our customers
  • You have an appreciation for good service level and customer experience, whilst having the ability to anticipate and mitigate problems
