Lead Optical Transport
Job Overview:
We are looking for someone who excels in network planning, possesses strong analytical skills, and demonstrates a deep understanding of network trends and service demand patterns to join our Optical Transport Team. This Individual will be responsible for compiling critical data, providing design guidance, conducting cost evaluations, and assessing technology qualifications and software capabilities.
You will lead the selection of the most suitable DWDM technologies across various vendors, design scalable and future-ready network solutions, and optimize cost structures for both project rollouts and service activations. The role is pivotal in ensuring traffic readiness, operational efficiency, and the commercial sustainability of TIME’s network investments. Responsibilities also extend to the implementation and testing of telecommunication network systems.
Your work life:
- Evaluate and benchmark DWDM systems for performance, scalability, vendor reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Define and maintain design standards and capacity planning guidelines aligned with current and projected traffic demands
- Lead comprehensive cost analyses to guide savings strategies and procurement decisions
- Develop and continuously refine end-to-end financial models covering project CAPEX/OPEX and service-level impact
- Collaborate across planning, legal, finance, and operations to align technology decisions with compliance and budget targets
- Provide strategic guidance on network design, vendor selection, and long-term infrastructure planning
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Education: Bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Land Survey, or any related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experiences in telecom networks, DWDM technologies, and cost optimization.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong background in network design, traffic planning, and service activation modelling.
