IT Procurement Specialist
The position reports to the Head of Product & New Channels
Job Overview:
- The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing suppliers, ensuring product quality, negotiating terms, resolving supply issues, and supporting strategic procurement initiatives with strong analytical and communication skills.
Your work life:
- Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
- Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
- Preparing procurement strategies, proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
- Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings.
- Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records.
- Promote and complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
- Experience in procuring Information Technology industry related product and services relevant to IT Connectivity, Beyond Connectivity, cloud computing / hosting & ICT services.
- Dealing with the whole IT ecosystem to develop end to end solutions.
- Experience in dealing with strategic eco system partner to provide ICT services and solutions.
- Knowledge in Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse Management, Logistics, Distributions, Legal, and commercial.
- Contract management skills with proven experience in developing relevant legal contractual terms and conditions.
- Experience in design and management of eRFx/eAuction events in multiple subcategories and have managed eRFx/eAuction events and selection processes with a medium number of suppliers and complexity.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with SAP systems are preferred.
- Team player with strong organizational skills.
