Finance Specialist
Job Overview:
Finance Specialist is responsible for supporting the organisation’s financial operations, reporting, and analysis to ensure accurate financial management and informed decision-making. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance reporting, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The Finance Specialist also contributes to process improvements and financial insights that drive operational efficiency and business performance.
Your work life:
Daily task
- Extract and update bank statements for the Group.
- Release of payments (manual and online).
- Maintain and update a detailed payment log, tracking both completed and pending transactions.
- Allocate funds to all payment bank accounts and manage excess funds.
- Source and negotiate the best possible rates with banks for the company's short-term and long-term cash placements.
- Daily preparation of cash flow report.
- Prepare all fund transfer documentation and any other bank related letters.
Monthly task
- Manage end-to-end process of preparing and posting journals in SAP system for all bank-related transactions during month-end closing.
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation.
- Approve petty cash claims and process reimbursements for petty cash accounts.
- Update of foreign exchange rate in SAP system.
- Preparation and analysis of the Group's monthly cash flow forecast.
Other task
- Preparation of bank guarantee.
- Monitor loan covenants to ensure compliance and prevent any breaches.
- Compute and maintain records for all external loans and internal loans/advances.
- Prepare all memos, board papers, and bank documents required for opening/closing and update of signatories of bank accounts.
- Act as the main point of contact and liaison with bankers for all payment and treasury matters.
- Liaise with stakeholders (i.e. internal and external auditors, company secretary) on any bank related matters.
- Manage the end-to-end preparation of all documentation required for the yearly audit.
- Lead server migration and key change projects related to host-to-host (SAP) system with banks.
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in treasury, finance or accounting
- Strong knowledge of treasury related processes and bank regulations
- Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is an advantage
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and ability to present financial insights clearly
- Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.) is an added advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
